A 🍺 Beer-y Scary 🧟‍♂️ Story

Stout Beer Ice Cream Float

📖 Once upon a time in a land enchanted, a most frightening tale was first told.  As the legend goes, a powerful ogre 🧟‍♂️ ruled for as far as the eye could see.  He was 9 feet tall and as strong as 10 men.  No one dared challenge his reign.  Until, one day, he went too far.

The Stout Palace

The ogre lived alone in a palace 🏰 of stone (not to be confused with that other brewery), surrounded by (you know it, of course!) a moat.  In the center of the palace, above the living chambers there were three 1,000 foot tall towers of steel.  That is where the ogre kept the stout 🍺, safe from all but his own greedy self.

All of the villagers worked for the ogre from sun up 🌝to sundown 🌙 six days a week. Every day they went to work at the giant factory, brewing the ogers perfect 🍻stout.  With only one day of rest, on that day, they were able to enjoy the fruits of their labor, their precious and unbelievably rich, delicious stout.

This brew was a deep dark stout.  The secret recipe was made with cocoa nibs, almonds, and sea salt too.  Not made in the usual way, this Nitro beer was also made with house-roasted ☕️ coffee beans that had been aged in 🥃 bourbon barrels.  So favored across all kingdoms that it landed the ogre a tidy sum💰.  The ogre took all the profits for himself and shared just a single stout for each villager per week.

Greedy AF, the ogre was not content with his lot and decided to keep all of the decadent stouts to himself.  Suddenly, he stopped the weekly brew stipend.

The Overthrow

In defiance, the villagers came together!  They could beer-ly contain their anger.  At midnight, armed with only torches in hand they stormed the palace.  The angry, over 21-year-old villagers, broke down the doors, and filled the palace.  They toppled the towers and all of the precious brews spilled into the moat, filling it to its banks.

Standing at the highest point in the palace 🏰, the ogre was furious and with shaken fists 👊 , he vowed his revenge.  In his anger, he lost his footing and fell from the top of the tallest tower and into the stout filled moat below.   At long last, the angry ogre was gone,  never to be seen again.

The villagers came together and started their own “Modern Times Beer Company”.  This brew they named, City Of The Dead.

Celebrating 🎉,  the villagers vowed to keep the moat filled with delicious stout and its riches are now shared with all of the people 👨‍👨‍👧👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👩‍👩‍👦.  You can find the villagers’ people still enjoying their “City of the Dead, Modern Times (Employee Owned) NITRO Stout” with Cocoa Nibs, Almonds, and Sea Salt.

Although the ogre could not float, the ice cream certainly does!  You can celebrate the overthrow of the ogre with a delicious Stout Beer Ice Cream Float with Salted Caramel Ice Cream.  Here’s how I made it!

Disclaimer: I am not a paid advertiser.  They don’t even know me and they didn’t ask to be mentioned in this ridiculous yarn. I don’t usually even like beer.  My husband loves Modern Times Beer and I really do love this delicious stout (I mean, it’s dessert in a can!)  So if they are looking for me, and they do not like this story, I will deny that I wrote it.  That’s if they even see it, which is doubtful because I only have like 3 followers.  If they like the story, well, that’s another thing, but they probably won’t.😉😁
